A Characters & Candles box is your perfect excuse to carve out a little me time, a little reading time. Each box features a book we’ve read and adored, a candle from a fabulous artisan candle company, and goodies sourced from outstanding small businesses. Every item in the box is inspired by something in the book! Plus, we donate a portion of the profits to a non-profit also inspired by the story.

We currently offer a monthly subscription. 

Absolutely. All the boxes available for one-time purchase are available here. 

To receive our monthly subscription box, you must subscribe by the last day of the month for the next month’s box.

For example, if you subscribe on January 20th, you will receive the February box. If you subscribe on February 1st, your first box will be the March box.

All boxes ship on the second Tuesday of the month. Boxes are shipped USPS and generally arrive within 2 – 3 days. Weather and distribution delays can cause a delay in delivery.

We currently ship to US residents, including Alaska and HI, and all military APO addresses where allowed.

Absolutely. 

For one-time purchases, simply click the gift box during checkout and include a note if you like.

For subscriptions, select the gift box option, then select when you want to your gift subscription to begin and for how long. Keep in mind, the deadline for gift subscriptions is the end of the month for the following month’s box. If you order a gift subscription on January 1st, the first box will be the February box.

We do not offer any refunds or exchanges unless a box is lost or damaged. Then we will provide a replacement of the same box or one of equal value of that box is no longer available.

We announce the book we feature in each box, so if it is a book you have already read, please consider gifting that book to a friend, or pausing your subscription for that month.
