She felt her control slipping, and finally, an image of Luca tore through her mental wall. The blurry background of young people dancing near him was eerily similar to reality. He sat alone, leaning against a palm tree and staring into the night

Fate Born

by Michelle L. Robinson

In the year 3121, the planet Drammat rules its utopian galaxy with innovation and compassion. The graduates of the Grand Drammatan Academy are the writers of their society’s future.

As the youngest student ever admitted to the Academy, 16-year-old Aria Blake is on edge when her lifelong visions of a teenage boy named Luca become more frequent and intense just before the school year begins.

With mental illness being a thing of the past and a stigma for the rare few who still face it, she’s forced to hide the truth or risk losing everything she’s worked for.

When she runs into Luca, alive and in the flesh, at the Academy orientation, her whole world is flipped upside down. It’s immediately clear that Luca has secrets of his own, but Aria feels an instant, almost supernatural connection to him. When he eventually opens up to her about his past on Earth – something that should be impossible – Aria learns that Drammat isn’t as benevolent as it leads its citizens to believe.

Luca begs Aria to keep his secret to protect both of their lives, but when they uncover a heinous plot on an Academy field trip to the frozen planet Sratta, they must choose between protecting themselves and saving thousands of innocent lives.

Secrets of Sratta is the first installment of The Fate Born Tetralogy, a sci-fi coming-of-age adventure about family, friendship, first love, and finding yourself as you rise to the challenge in extraordinary circumstances.

“Such a fun and unique cast of characters! The author does an amazing job building an immersive futuristic world with so many creative details that make the setting feel real and exciting.”  – Hannah

“I absolutely could not put this book down. The world building was fascinating.” -Stacey O.

Aria bolted upright, adrenaline shooting through her body. In seconds, they would be right on top of her. The door to the library loomed at the end of the hall, and it was the only way out.

Meet Michelle!

Michelle L Robison is a self-proclaimed story addict. She is a sucker for a bingeable show or series of novels, so it’s no surprise that her debut novel is the first in a four-part series. Michelle spends her days wrangling her two young children while simultaneously building the family business—training piano teachers to use their app, Piano Marvel. She spends her evenings writing and honing her craft, except when she’s watching Survivor or binging the latest season of The Last of Us or Stranger Things with her husband.

Besides her love for writing and music, she enjoys fitness, volleyball, traveling, time with loved ones, volunteering at her church, anything outdoors, and being in the sunlight as much as possible—something she finds quite easy living in Phoenix, AZ. Despite now calling the desert home, her heart will always belong to the tiny mountain town in Colorado where she grew up.

What would Luca’s life consist of for the rest of her miserable existence? Forget the lifelong pain of a breakup. This would be infinitely worse for him. She felt her consciousness fleeing, and with the last ounce of resolve she clung to, she willed her words into his mind. “I love you, and I’m sorry.”
