WHAT'S INCLUDED IN A FEATURED GIVEAWAY?
We want to take the pressure off and just let you have fun interacting with readers. If your book is selected for a featured giveaway, we require you to send us a paperback copy or digital download link/QR code to include in the box, and then we’ll take care of just about everything else.
Our featured giveaways include:
- A custom-curated box including an artisan candle and 3-5 bookish goodies from some of our favorite small business makers. Each and every item in the box will be inspired by your book!
- Custom ad campaigns on Facebook and Instagram targeting readers in your genre to maximize interest
- Feature in our weekly email to our own growing list of engaged readers.
- Facebook and Instagram posts about your book and your giveaway.
- Winner selection, notification, and shipping
HOW OUR GIVEAWAYS WORK
Step One: Submit for Consideration & Be Selected
Our readers trust us to recommend books that are engaging and exciting, with memorable characters, and plots that keep us turning pages, so we are choosy about the books we feature. Our readers love a good story in any number of fiction genres, however, we do not work with horror or erotica.
We require that featured books have a professionally designed cover and are free of grammatical and formatting errors. We are delighted to work with indie and traditionally published authors and can create boxes around both printed and digital books.
Step Two: Choose Your Dates, Send Us Your Book, and Submit Payment
If selected, you will be invited to reserve the dates for your giveaway. Our book box giveaways can add hundreds of readers to your list all on their own, but combined with a book launch, discount/free download, and/or other strategic marketing events you could see even bigger returns.
Once dates are reserved, authors must then send us a paperback copy or digital download links/QR code for the featured book to be included in the box.

Step Three: Join in the Fun & Watch your List Grow
While it’s not required, we love when authors get involved during the giveaway. Sharing the giveaway with family and friends can help to maximize sign ups.
We’ve seen first-hand how effective our giveaways can be. We grew our own list by more than 800 subscribers in just 30 days with just one giveaway. And we’ve regularly seen goodie giveaways far and away out pace plain old book giveaways every time we run them.

FAQs
Which genres do you work with?
We work with all genres except horror and erotica.
Do you work with indie authors?
Absolutely. We love collaborating with traditionally published and indie authors alike.
How fast and/or how far in advance can I schedule my giveaway if selected?
Once notified that your book has been approved for feature, we ask for a minimum of three weeks to give us time to source and procure items for the box, and create marketing creatives and box inserts.
You can reserve giveaway dates up to six months in advance and we are happy to approve books in ARC stage.
Should I sent hardback or paperbook? Can I send digital copies?
When sending physical copies. we can include paperback or hardback books so long as they are no bigger than 8.9" x 5.9".
We can also include a download link/QR code in the box, however, we require that the download be available from a reputable source like Amazon (gift link), Book Funnel, or other ebook distribution platform.

What if I don't already have a mailing list?
No problem! We can help you set up a free MailerLite account to get you started. MailerLite allows you collect up to 1000 subscribers for free.
Do you ship internationally? Does it cost more to send physical copy of my book in the giveaway box?
At this time, we do not ship internationally. We ship within the US and most APO addresses.
The cost of a giveaway package includes shipping. Because we ship using cubic inches, that cost does not change whether we ship a physical book or a digital download link.
From where and whom do you source the goodies?
We source all of our goodies from small businesses. Most are US based, but we often work with small businesses in Canada and Europe. The vast majority of the business we work with are owned by women.
Can I make requests for items/scents in my box?
Absolutely! Who knows your book better than you? We are happy to collaborate with authors/publishers on ideas for items in the box and will do our best to accommodate those ideas.
Can you sell my book in your store or as part of Fiction Flock's monthly subscription?
Perhaps. Depending on the genre of your book, we may be interested in offering your book to our readers. However, there is no option to "buy-in" to our subscription or our box store. But, if we happen to fall in love with your book, we may reach out to you to work out the details for including your box in our store.
