A Characters & Candles Box
Like many of us, Myra didn’t have an easy childhood. Traumatized by a horrible accident, she does her best to cope and she learns to make her world smaller (pun intended!).
Fearful and untrusting of the outside world, she keeps to the confines of her house, spends her time creating and recreating rooms in a miniature mansion (don’t you dare call it a dollhouse), and restricts the people in her life to a chosen few who she deems as safe.
When circumstances beyond her control threaten her house and her safety, she is forced to expand her comfort zone. And in doing so, fate and a little magic work in tandem to present the opportunity for love.
The only question is, will she find the courage and take a leap of faith to give love a chance?

From her attic in the Arizona mountains, thirty-four-year-old Myra Malone blogs about a dollhouse mansion that captivates thousands of readers worldwide. Myra’s stories have created legions of fans who breathlessly await every blog post, trade photographs of Mansion-modeled rooms, and swap theories about the enigmatic and reclusive author. Myra herself is tethered to the Mansion by mysteries she can’t understand—rooms that appear and disappear overnight, music that plays in its corridors.
Across the country, Alex Rakes, the scion of a custom furniture business, encounters two Mansion fans trying to recreate a room. The pair show him the Minuscule Mansion, and Alex is shocked to recognize a reflection of his own life mirrored back to him in minute scale. The room is his own bedroom, and the Mansion is his family’s home, handed down from the grandmother who disappeared mysteriously when Alex was a child. Searching for answers, Alex begins corresponding with Myra. Together, the two unwind the lonely paths of their twin worlds—big and small—and trace the stories that entwine them, setting the stage for a meeting rooted in loss, but defined by love.

With notes of aged paper, leather, rose petals, soft vanilla, and fresh-cut grass, we imagine this is what the library in Myra’s mansion would smell like.
The scent of sweet summer berries and lightly-frosted autumn grapes are a nod to Myra’s love of grape jelly. And the name is a fun addition to our library theme.
Myra tells Alex his name sounds like a character from a Bronte novel, so this tea just felt right. This tea is an orchard in a cup with papaya & raspberry pieces, and hints of apple, gooseberry, pear, and marigold.
Myra’s memories of her birthday are bittersweet and involve a very special birthday cake. In our mind, life is too short not to enjoy cake in every shape and form.
Myra is nothing if not organized. This handy to-do list is practical and a bit vintage. The exact kind of thing you’d expect to find on her desk, right next to the paint brushes and tiny cans of Vienna sausages.
One of the good memories Myra allows herself includes a bit of pink lemonade, so we just had to include this delicious dip. Sweet and tart, just add a few simple ingredients and enjoy with graham crackers or fresh fruit.
